‘Make over’ Bookshop Daan Nijman

The design in question concerns a renovation and partially new interior of the Daan Nijman bookshop. Principal starting point for the concept: an open-plan layout. The interventions create more sight lines and the whole is considerably more spacious.
In addition to a general plan featuring a separate ‘Young Adult’ corner and coffee table with shop window, various designs were created for product-specific displays/furniture to allow for both horizontal and vertical presentation.
Wherever possible, adapted and/or reused furniture from the original interior was employed.
